It’s hard to believe that the Class of 2025’s time at Frassati Catholic is nearing its end! As the seniors enter their final days of high school, they now look toward the legacy they will leave at Frassati Catholic. Over the past months the seniors have been planning their class gift. Among many excellent choices, the class voted to donate funds for a Statue of Saint Dominic for the chapel - recognizing a significant patron of our school community. This gift is a lasting symbol of gratitude to Frassati Catholic, and a continuation of their dedication to building faith and true friendship. The Saint Dominic statue will be installed following this summer's renovation - including the expansion to 90 seats, addition of two confessionals, and lengthening into what is now room 110.
To successfully complete their class gift, they have set a participation goal of 100% involvement across the class and a monetary goal of between $6K-$7K to purchase the statue (3-5ft tall), a pedestal and a bronze plate to commemorate the gift was "Generously Given by the Class of 2025." We can reach our fundraising goal with 100% student participation and an average gift of $100 per student.
The goal of the class gift is primarily philanthropic. Our hope is that this gift becomes the first step in what will be a lifetime of generosity to parishes, organizations, and more. We encourage them to make their gift from earnings from a job, babysitting, individual fundraising among their family members, or even skipping lattes for a few weeks.
As parents, consider a few things to support this effort:
1. Talk to your students about the importance of giving back
2. Encourage your student to participate
3. MATCH your child’s gift
The legacy gift the students make to the high school will be something they can be proud of each time they visit campus as alumni. Let’s support them in their effort in thanksgiving for the incredible gift of Frassati Catholic High School.
