Important Info for Seniors

• Monthly out of uniform day (be sure to check the calendar)
• Senior Uniform pieces – gray polo (long or short sleeved) with senior logo; Senior Shirt 4th quarter; Tie
   options for Dress Uniform
• Mass days - senior boys may wear any tie or bowtie that is predominantly blue, gray, white, or black
• Senior space - picnic tables (before and after school, and lunch)

• Refrain from screaming or shouting
• Noise makers are not permitted
• Nothing should be written or taped on caps, gowns, etc.

• During Commencement, the following items are not permitted in the gymnasium: balloons, beach balls, air horns, lasers, large posters or banners, noise makers, weapons of any kind, or anything that would detract from the nature of the formal Commencement Ceremony

• Please try on your gown as soon as possible to be sure that the length and fit are correct. Changes will not be possible on rehearsal day.
• Seniors should write their name in their cap and gown

• Commencement Rehearsal will take place on Wednesday, May 19 at 12:15 p.m. in the Gym - rehearsal for the Passing of the Light Ceremony is at 1:15 p.m. on the same day

• Baccalaureate Mass Rehearsal for those seniors with a liturgical role at the Mass will take place on Wednesday, May 19 at 1:45 p.m. in the Gym

• Dress Length
  1. Dresses should be knee-length or longer. Hemlines should reach at least to the top of the knee.
  2. A gown may be worn, but is not required; other acceptable semi-formal options for girls are a dress or skirt with a fancy blouse.
  3. Slits in dresses should not extend higher than the top of the kneecap.
• Neckline and Bodice
  1. Necklines should be modest and must leave no more than 4-5 inches bare chest between the collarbones at the sternum and the top of the dress; no cleavage may show.
  2. Backs of dresses should fall no lower than 6-8 inches from the nape of the neck.
  3. Strapless dresses, spaghetti straps, off-the-shoulder styles or one shoulder styles are permitted.
• Midriff and Cut-Outs
  1. Dresses should not expose the midriff or have cut-outs that reveal the stomach or sides.
  2. Sheer fabrics over these areas are also not permitted.
• Fabric and Fit
  1. Dresses should be made of opaque materials; sheer or see-through fabrics are not allowed unless they are used as an overlay with a modest lining underneath.
  2. The fit of the dress should not be excessively tight. Dresses should allow for
  3. comfortable movement and should not cling excessively to the body.
• Shoes
  1. Dress heels or dressy flat shoes are required
  2. Athletic shoes and overly casual shoes are not permitted.
  3. Ensure shoes are comfortable and safe for dancing and walking. Shoes must be worn at all times.
• Accessories and Additional Attire
  1. Shawls, boleros, or wraps must be worn to the event, and if needed, during the dance, over ladies’ dresses or gowns.

• Suits and Blazers
  1. A suit or a blazer is optional.
• Shirts
  1. A dress shirt is required.
  2. Sleeveless shirts are not permitted.
  3. Shirts should be buttoned up and tucked in at all times.
• Ties and Bow Ties
  1. A tie or bow tie is required.
• Pants
  1. Dress pants are required. Chinos or khakis are also acceptable.
  2. Jeans and shorts are not permitted.
  3. Pants should fit properly and not sag below the waistline.
• Shoes
  1. Dress shoes are required. Ensure shoes are polished and in good condition.
  2. Sneakers, sandals, or other casual footwear are not permitted.
• Accessories and Grooming
  1. Belts or suspenders are required.
  2. Ear piercings are not permitted.
  3. Accessories must complement the attire and be modest in appearance.
  4. Excessive and/or gaudy accessories are not permitted.
  5. Grooming should be neat and presentable. Please adhere to the Parent and Student Handbook “ Gentlemen's grooming code" 

• Baccalaureate Mass
  • Friday, May 21, at 9:15 a.m.
  • A reception will follow the Mass.
  • No tickets are required for the Baccalaureate Mass. All are welcome to attend.
• Commencement Ceremony
  • Friday, May 21, at 6:30 p.m.
  • Tickets are required for entry

• Students should park in the student parking lot.
• Parents and guests can park in any lot.

• Professional photographers and videographers will be taking photos and video of both events.
• The video and photographs will be available to all families of seniors

• Doors will open for seating at 8:15 a.m.
• Seniors should be in the Assembly Hall by 8:45 a.m. 
• Seniors and their families are invited to a reception immediately following Mass in the Assembly Hall.

• Tickets are required and doors will open for seating at 5:15 p.m.
• Seniors should be in the Assembly Hall by 6:00 p.m. in cap, gown, and tassel!
