Tuition Assistance

Frassati Catholic High School is committed to helping make a Frassati Frassati Catholic education accessible to families. Nearly 28% of our students receive need-based financial aid, with an average award of $5,250. Admission and tuition assistance decisions are made separately and independently. 

Tuition assistance is based on financial need, with family size and income being primary factors in the need assessment process. ​

How do I apply for tuition assistance?
Families requesting tuition assistance for the 2027–2028 school year must complete two applications:

1. Frassati Catholic Tuition Assistance through FACTS Grant & Aid
The FACTS application opens October 7, 2026 and is due January 31, 2027. FACTS provides Frassati Catholic with an objective assessment of a family's demonstrated financial need.

2. Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA)
TEFA is a new Texas program that helps accepted families pay for private school tuition and other approved educational expenses. Families applying for Frassati Catholic tuition assistance are also required to submit an application for TEFA. The TEFA application portal is expected to open in early February 2027 and close at the end of March 2027. Please see this link for more information and access to the TEFA application:

Do I have to qualify for TEFA to receive tuition assistance from Frassati Catholic?
No. You must apply for TEFA, but you do not have to qualify for or receive TEFA funding to be considered for Frassati Catholic tuition assistance.

What if I receive TEFA funding or another scholarship?
Frassati Catholic tuition assistance is based on demonstrated financial need. If your family receives TEFA funding or another outside scholarship, grant, or source of financial assistance, your Frassati Catholic award may be adjusted to account for those additional funds.

Do I need to reapply each year?
For Frassati Catholic tuition assistance, yes. Tuition assistance is awarded for one academic year at a time. Families must reapply annually, and awards are based on demonstrated financial need, available funding, completion of required applications and documentation, and the student remaining in good academic and behavioral standing.

For TEFA, participants in good standing remain in the program and do not need to submit a new application each year. Families will need to confirm annually that they wish to continue participating.
